Welcome! If you've never been to a church service, or you've walked away from the church, you'll find a fresh start here. We desire to cultivate a community where a soft and tender heart and a strong theological backbone go together. We gather on Sundays at the Holiday Inn in Portsmouth at 10:30am to rediscover the faith, ask honest questions, and care for one another well.
March 23 at The Holiday Inn @ 10:30am
What if the church saw the gospel of Jesus as the most important need for the believer, not just the unbeliever? We believe the gospel is the power for lasting change for the non-Christian and seasoned-Christian alike. In other words, we never graduate from the gospel. We want the good news of God's remarkable grace for us in Jesus to be at the very center of all we think, say, and do. There is good news all of us need to hear, every day.
What if the church saw itself as the mediatorial presence of Christ in their city? As the temple of God that is precisely what the church is. We want to live out our identity by making a positive difference in the city of Portsmouth. Our desire is to be a faithful witness to the gospel of Jesus in the way that we pray for the city, serve the city, and bless the city. We desire to be a channel of God's life-giving presence in the city of Portsmouth and beyond.
What if the church was focused on cultivating fellowship rather than boosting their attendance? Getting people in the seats is not our goal; growing our fellowship with God and one another is. Do we want to grow in numbers? Of course. But our primary focus is on helping people to experience the joy of communion with the Triune God of love and a strong sense of fellowship with one another. We want to know God and know each other well.

According to the latest research, the suicide rates in New Hampshire are currently 35% higher than the national average. People need hope, and we believe that the hope we're all looking for is found in the gospel of Jesus. Yet, right now, only 2.5% of the Portsmouth population acknowledge an understanding and commitment to the gospel. We believe a new gospel-centered and reformed church can collaborate with existing churches and ministries to bring more hope to this area.
