Our Worship

Worship is essentially 'worth-ship'. It's ascribing ultimate worth to something or someone and then living in light of that perceived worth. In this way, everyone is a worshipper. Because we all live for something or someone, you don't have to be religious to be a worshiper; you just have to be alive.

Our public worship of God on Sundays is meant to be the culmination and overflow of our private worship of God throughout the week. This joyful and reverent celebration of God is rooted in the Triune God of holy love who has revealed himself to us in the gospel of Jesus, and who alone is worthy of our worship.

As the temple of God in Christ, the liturgy of our Sunday service is patterned after ancient temple worship. This means we believe both the elements of our worship and the order of our worship is very important. In each service, we are carefully directed through the gospel story in order to lead our hearts Godward and our lives outward.

In our worship service, we rediscover the God of the gospel together. This takes place in five major movements: 1) Rediscovering God's glory, 2) Rediscovering God's grace, 3) Rediscovering God's word, 4) Rediscovering God's presence, and 5) Rediscovering God's blessing.
