COMMUNITY GROUPS

Throughout the week, we gather as smaller groups, in homes across the Seacoast to eat together, pray together, and explore the implications of the Gospel in our lives. More than anything else, these groups represent the church at a more personal level. They are the place where we really begin to know one another and allow ourselves to truly be known. These groups become a lifeline for care at Gospel City.

WHY GROUPS?

Fellowship: First, as captured in our name, our community groups seek to practice and develop genuine spiritual fellowship with one another in our church or as a stepping stone for some to join the larger church. Our community groups are meant to be an informal space where relationships are formed at a deeper level across GCF. They are also a space where we seek to grow deeper together in our relationship with God and our understanding of the gospel, while engaging in communal practices of hospitality, Scripture, prayer, and service.

Care: Our community groups are also one of the primary places to be known, loved, and cared with more intentionally by our fellow members of the community at GCF. Even though we are still a relatively small church plant, our Sunday worship service can be a large space where it’s more challenging and intimidating to get to know and be known by others in the broader church community. Our groups are smaller communities that gather together in more intimate settings where you can experience deeper community and spiritual care from others in our church during the week.
